Priority list
Use the Priority list window to set food priorities for settlers and taming bait for handlers. You can also assign each patient a treatment list for medicines. Built-in lists are read-only. To make your own, open Manage, choose a category and add discovered items to a new list. Ctrl-drag items into preference order. For items with rarities, Shift + right-click an entry to choose which rarities to allow. Changes apply to everyone assigned to the list. If a medic skips a medicine, check the patient’s list on Assign and make sure the medic can reach an allowed supply.
Humanoid
On Assign, choose a food list beside the settler’s name. A hungry settler checks their own inventory first, then looks for reachable food. Within each search they take the first available match. If they stay hungry, check the assigned list, allowed rarities and access to supplies. Enable Allow unlisted food to let the settler eat other foods, including raw ingredients, after both searches fail. Otherwise they wait for listed food.
Animals
Choose a bait list in the animal’s taming controls. To assign several tame animals at once, select them in the area, then choose Manage → Animal food and click Add all selected. Handlers try listed foods that suit the species’ diet. If none is available, the job waits unless Tame without bait is enabled. Taming without food is less effective. Animals grazing or eating from a trough choose food by diet.
